IGNITE, ACER & Selective Entry One-on-One Preparation
Private, personalised preparation for Glenunga’s IGNITE program, ACER scholarship tests and other selective-entry pathways — taught exclusively by Private IGNITE Tutoring founder Bren Casipit.
Every lesson is adapted to the student’s ability, target exam and areas for improvement.
Available in person across Adelaide or online from $100 per hour.
What We Cover:

Written Expression
Planning, structure, vocabulary, sentence control, persuasive writing, creative writing and editing.
Students learn how to respond directly to a prompt, organise ideas clearly and produce a polished piece within exam time limits.

Reading Comprehension
Literal and inferential comprehension, vocabulary in context, author purpose, tone, main ideas and evidence-based interpretation.
Students are taught how to locate relevant information quickly and distinguish between answers that are merely possible and answers supported by the text.

Mathematical Reasoning
Number patterns, arithmetic, fractions, percentages, ratios, measurement, problem-solving and multi-step reasoning.
Students learn how to interpret unfamiliar questions, choose an efficient method and work accurately under time pressure.

Abstract Reasoning
Sequences, analogies, matrices, rotations, reflections, classifications and visual pattern recognition.
Rather than relying on guesswork, students develop a repeatable process for identifying rules and eliminating incorrect options.
Personalised Preparation. Taught by the Founder.
One-on-one IGNITE preparation is our most personalised selective-entry service.
Unlike general tutoring, every session is built around the skills and question types students encounter in competitive entry testing. Bren identifies where the student is already performing strongly, where marks are being lost and what needs to improve before the exam.
There is no fixed class pace and no handover to another tutor. Every one-on-one IGNITE lesson is delivered personally by Bren Casipit.

Students do not need to be performing at the top of their class before beginning. The purpose of the initial assessment is to establish an appropriate starting point and determine the preparation required. Prefer to start from home? Try our $149 Mock Exam + Feedback Report.

Why Choose One-on-One Preparation?
1
A Program Built Around One Student
The lesson moves at the student’s pace. Difficult concepts can be revisited immediately, while familiar content does not need to consume unnecessary lesson time.
2
Direct Feedback in Every Session
Bren observes how the student approaches each question, identifies inefficient habits and corrects misunderstandings as they occur.
3
Targeted Preparation
A student who needs extensive support with Written Expression requires a different plan from one who is strong academically but struggles with timing. One-on-one preparation allows those differences to shape every lesson.
4
Flexible Lesson Focus
Sessions can respond to upcoming test dates, recent mock-exam results and changes in the student’s performance instead of following a rigid weekly sequence.
5
Greater Accountability
Regular lessons, assigned practice and progress feedback help students remain consistent throughout the preparation period.
